To find out more about the above safari or make a booking please contact Deborah on info@yogasafari.com : : BACK TO TOP Botswana Yoga Safari (Sample) Botswana has a varied ecosystem that includes: vast salt pans where oryx stand tall against the white earth, the wetlands of the Okavango Delta where hippos display for their territory, Moremi Game Reserve where lions roar and the Chobe National Park where elephants abound. On our Yoga Safari we traverse these areas in 4 x 4 game drive vehicles, motor boats and on foot (when outside the national parks) getting up close to the animals in order to take the best photos. Our fully serviced, en-suite, tented mobile safari camp takes us to the heart of these locations giving us the best opportunities to view the game and practice our Yoga in one of the last remaining untamed environments. We will also enjoy dining al fresco under the stars and dream the night away in comfortable beds. (See last paragraph below for more info on our mobile safari camp). The Yoga Safari is limited to a maximum of ten guests. This 11 night Yoga Safari offers 1 night at a lodge in Maun, 3 nights at our camp in Nxai Pan, 4 nights in Moremi Game Reserve and 3 nights in the Savuti region of Chobe National Park. The first night is spent at a lodge in Maun getting to know everyone. Early next morning we head off to our private camp in the Nxai Pan National Park where we are on the lookout for zebra, oryx, springbuck, eland, bat eared foxes, lions and hyena to name a few of the animals that can be seen in the area. We’ll find a special place each day to practice Yoga and experience the wilderness from a different perspective other than our 4 x 4 vehicle. Day 5 – 8 Our next destination is Moremi Game Reserve where we have the opportunity to see leopards, lions, giraffe, hippo, crocs and baboons. Each animal has its own way of surviving in the wild and your guide will explain how they all interact with each other. One of our days will be spent on the water in a motor boat seeing what lies within the crystal clear waterways of the Okavango Delta. Each day we’ll lay down our mats and connect with the natural surroundings through a unique Yoga session specially created for our Yoga Safari, which also includes guided meditations. Day 9 – 11 From Moremi we move north to the Savuti area in Chobe National Park where a multitude of animals roam the area including impala, kudu, zebra, wildebeest and elephant. We’ll visit ancient Bushmen rock paintings and find a quiet spot to practice our Yoga daily. We’ll spend our last night together reminiscing and sharing stories about our special Yoga Safari. After breakfast today you may either head back to Maun or add and optional extension to Victoria Falls in Zambia. (Email us on info@yogasafari.com for information on adding an extension) The Botswana Yoga Safari offers a classic, up-market mobile safari where we head from Maun to Nxai Pan to Moremi to Savuti and back to Maun accompanied by the same camp crew and camping equipment throughout. Our private campsites offer an authentic bush atmosphere while still maintaining a great deal of comfort. We sleep in walk-in canvas tents, with beds, en-suite shower and toilet, a small veranda area with camp chairs, a small table and a washbasin. Battery-powered lights provide illumination at night. Our camp is fully catered, with three-course meals, including wine, soft drinks and water all prepared daily by our camp chefs. A laundry service is also included. When we move camps every three to four days, the camp crew break down the camp after we depart on our game drive and then while we are out on safari, they go ahead in a large 4x4 truck to set up at the new location before our arrival later that day. We get to practice Yoga everyday on our mats in this pristine wilderness making this type of safari the only way to fully experience the spirit of the wild! We look forward to having your join us on this unique adventure. : : BACK TO TOP
